Had my 2012 GSA deliverd in January however did not get the chance to ride until end of march as was sent to Australia with work.
To say I was pining for my bike is an understatement missed it mor than my wife. Well got back to blighty and its snowing, not a happy bunny.
Weekend befoer Easter weekend and I go regardless, froze my nuts off but at least my hands were warm. Easter weekend and I'm out all weekend with a fellow tosser, loving the bike.
I'm so glad I got it it does it all, loves the twisties loves he motorway, slow riding is easy and so is quick.
Go out with a mate him on his GSXR 1000 me on my GSA, he tells me its ugly and looks slow and fat, get to loomies to him telling me "fook me thats quick round the bends".
Am I happy? Yes, I love it, I got a lot of stick from the vstrom forum when I said I was getting one, being told the vstrom was all I needed. How wrong they are, the bmw is worlds apart, comfy, power, stability, everything is better.
Servicing costs, okay not going to be cheep but neither were Suzuki, and the vstrom was every 4500 miles and BMW 6000 so it will even out ish eventually.
I've only been riding 18 months but this bike is ore inspiring, gives me confidence comfort and the best thing is the wife loves the rear seat.
So don't just think about getting one, if you want it and the numbers work for you do it. You will not regret it.
No real point in the post other to say I'm happy with my new toy.
