.......... first off , let me apologise as this report doesn't have a GS in it , although there is a tenuous link ...........

A short while ago , I posted a couple of reports on ADVRIDER ...............

and ........... http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142503

Yesterday I took SWMBO back to see Hailes church , we went in the car .
When we got there , an LT was parked up outside , but I didn't realy give it a second thought until , after looking around the church , I was heading back to the car and spotted the rider .............. hang on a minute I thought , I recognise that bloke , I met him once before in Broadway when I bought some inner bags off him .......it was Lord Snooty ......... we got talking [ I was asking him about the bike] and then I told him we'd met before - he did recall the meet , and we chatted for several minutes , including about the lane that goes up the side of the church , which he said was a nice ride and led to a nice view of the countryside , as it goes up to the top of a hill .

So , with that in mind , I returned later that day on the Panzer , and here are a few photos ........

En route I spotted these beasties in the field as I rode past ...........

A bit surprised to say the least , as you don't normally find these in Oxfordshire ..........

A nice ride took me across country , back to a main road from where I rode home .

A nice bike ride once more .

Steve, I'm glad you checked out the view from the top of the hill, it's pretty spectacular isn't it...I only discovered it by accident myself. I took SWMBO up there after you left as she had never been tghere before, It was a bit of a sweat hauling the LT up there instead of the GS though, especially when I had to turn it around on the gravel opposite the farmhouse  We never saw the Llamas though, where exactly were they. Just out of Hailes Church heading back to the main road did you see all of the train spotters hanging around where the road crossed the line, there was a steam loco passing up and down the line every 10-15 mins so we hung about to see that as well. All in all a perfect afternoon in the English countryside!

Llamas et al

The LLamas were in a field closer to home , near Fifield .
I was thinking when I went up that lane on the Panzer , that I was gonna have to be very careful where I stopped and got off the bike , with the road surface being so uneven , and the camber so severe in places .......... so much so that I didn't venture onto the gravel [ big bonus points for taking the LT up there without falling off :clap :clap ], but parked on a crest facing upward with the bike in gear   .scary when you are vertically challenged like me [ practised falling off the GS enough times thankyou very much !! ]

There were plenty of trainspotters - I'm actually glad because SWMBO is always taking the preverbial out of me for having the camera welded to my hand ........but at least I take scenic photos rather than trains ....[ each to their own ] .

Se you around again sometime ,

Safe riding

Steve

There are Llamas in a field at Campsie near Londonderry, just opposite the Invicta(Dupont) factory. They've been there for years
