Seems like it is something to do with how it copies the text from the youtube site.

Open explorer and click Help and about, this should show which IE you have loaded

the last 3 posts were done on a toshiba laptop with my daughter helping wtf?
im now back on my eepc, friggin things
my daughters tosh is running windows vista, and my eepc 901 is on xp .

that was from a while ago,tried two diff pcs now,windows xp and vista.
something changes when you copy and paste it, look at the txt file a bit back.
oh this is a eepc901 2 gig ram 1.6ghz intel atom 3 hard drives
the other pc was a tosh 2 gig ram, 2.0 ghx intel summat (6 months old)

I have been unable to embed using Internet Explorer for ages.

Instead of embedding, I just get the text, just like you.

So I use Mozilla Firefox and it works every time.

I think it's a problem with Explorer tbh
