Your Best Tank Range and MPG On The GSA LC?

Is it possible? Yes of course it is, you could get even better than that. Everybody will get different figures dependent on how they drive and how loaded the bike is.

I predict at least one person telling you to rtfm and find where the throttle is.

Not sure what my best range is but I've just done a 3000 mile trip to Austria and Slovenia and bike was worked hard.

Lots of mountain passes and some 400 mile days sat on motorways. Averaged 50.3 mpg.

Pretty good really :thumb

I don't give two hoots about economy. Ride until the tank gets empty then fill up. If I was worried about getting many miles per tank I'd buy a scooter.

It's not about mpg only. High mileage riders like to be able to cover as many miles as possible before filling up. I usually get 340 miles out of my 800 gsa. What scooter can better that range please? JJH

As it says really,

I've only had mine a couple of weeks and the onboard computer is telling me 352 but is that reliable?

Whats the best I can expect?

Never run mine dry, but that's about what mine gets to a tank with mixed riding. The computer is showing an overall average of 50mpg - the bike's done about 7000 miles and I've not reset the mpg display in that time.

Only had my 1200GS LC TE for 3 months and 2000 miles - Average was 48mpg, which BTW, is the same as my current 1200RT LC

That's amazing seeing they have different gearing I think. Jjh

Yes, but at a much higher average speed on the RT, as i did approx. 600 miles at a constant 100+mph in Europe a few weeks ago.

Well Mr Oilcracker, whereas I'm grateful to see you've taken an interest in the thread, who said anything about "economy"? I just wondered what tank range and MPG people were getting? Simples!

Mind how you go Sir. :comfort

Is fuel economy not measured in mpg. Different than being an economical bike.

While sightseeing round Normandy in September I got 276 miles 2-up from a standard GS LC with fuel neck mod!

I also got under 190 on the motorway run up to Calais!

Impressive though

I reckon in normal max about 320 miles per tank, about 40 less than my 1200gsa tc did
