Ok guys and gals here's the news...

With mucho thanks to forum members Monty and Maverick, Shalako-Lin and I are sorted with a bike to travel to Europe and Morocco.
Monty patiently waited while we sorted out payment and pick-up details and Maverick (whom I knew from the Wild Dogs forum) has been enourmously helpful in regards to picking the bike up and everything else involved. :thumb2

Now Lin and I are arriving at Heathrow airport (details below) and wondered if any of you chaps might care to meet up for a drink nearby?
(If we don't take the train out to Mav's place we'll also need to sort some overnight accomodation and then travel to Essex the next day.)
We arrive Sat afternoon on May 16th.

So if anyone wants to say hello and have a few drinks and a chat don't be shy.
We're easy to get along with. (And I was born and raised in Portsmouth, so I'm almost a Brit anyway. :D)

We won't be hard to spot anywhere as we'll be wearing our bike kit on the plane.

All flight details below:

Flying with Japan Airlines International.

Departing Sydney at 08.20 Friday 15 May.

Landing and overnight at Narita Japan 17.10 Terminal 2.

Departing Narita 10.00 Sat 16 May

Landing Heathrow Terminal 3 at 14.35. (2.35 p.m.) On, I assume, Sat 16 May UK time.

Cheers: Jaq and Lin.

From Pompey eh. So was I, although I only live 20 miles from there now, what area did you live in then? I was in North End.

I was born in #3 Waverly Grove.
Lived around Southsea most of my early years.
Last few years we lived in Buckingham Green.

First school was Southsea, next to the old Odeon Cinema.
Then went to Eastney Boys.
Then went to Portsmouth High School, up near Portsdown Hill.
Can't remember the suburb.
My Mum worked at the Co-Op at North End, for many years, in the accounts dept.
We emigrated to Sydney back in 76. Heap of kids I knew went to Aledershot and joined the Army.

Cheers: Jaq.

Well I wouldn't want everyone to drop the Welsh event just so they could meet us. :D

We'll be fine...we'll find somewhere for a relaxing brew and then if nothing better offers we'll either make our way to Essex or find a cozy place to spend the night.
