Now this is a serious thread...
But how far can you trace your family tree in
Ireland ??? Me wee bro has been working on this for
a good few years... and believe me you will not believe
who i am related to... I shall not tell ye all just yet as i
will be contacting the appropriate legal people to reclaim
me lands ... enjoy your wealth for the moment the celt
will arise and will claim his birth right...
 
Me auld man started doing ours a few years back and now my sister has taken over. It is ok to go back so far but then you seem to struggle cos all the records were burned in some fire. So unless you go to the parish registers you are buggered. But I think we can go back to the 1700s or so. Mind you some say we go back to Niall of the 9 hostages stc stc. Oh and we could problably drink the wussie english under the table whilst fighting with the fir bolg. But what Do I know??? Make tea not war. Thats my motto........:ronno

An old aunt of mine (rest her soul) claims we are direct decendant's of St Oliver Plunkett who was hung drawn and quartered by the British many moons ago.

His head has been preserved in a glass case and is on show in a church in Drogheda,I have seen it and I must say there is some resemblance :blast

Marjorie i take up the wager... but you must be able to prove a pure
bloody line through parent line (no uncle/anut or like).
Starting with yourself working backwards, all records i have are
well documented and mine is a pure line...
As for playing for beer money... i laugh at you, lets play for
Donegal...

nation of me return to power...

thats funny i have noticed your avatar and name ROSAHANE it,s an unusual name and one given to a grave yard in asknagap not to far from my old homestead of aughrim, it,s said to be the most haunted in ireland :eek:we used to go up to it for dare,s at full moon :eek:any way probably nothin to do with your name :thumb2 not wealthy but consider our selfs lucky we got to keep our heads :D
