I've used the optimate quad on my 1300gs since April
Use the DIN socket on the dash
Got the heated gloves lead straight to battery
Bike came with lithium battery
It does it's thing seamlessly

My car has an OE lithium battery. They upgraded the software at the last service - allegedly so that they have to replace fewer batteries under warranty.
A week after the 'upgrade' I had left the car for 4 days at Stansted. On my return the car was as dead as a dodo.
A quick jump-start connect to reawaken the battery and it's been fine in the several weeks since.
The dealer will check fault codes when the car next goes in.
I do note, however, that the factory have reverted to AGM batteries for new builds of the same car...

For now, I've hooked up via the din socket. The Quad Optimate is working well and actually inspires confidence.
One thing the techs did pick up on whilst in for the battery, the oil sight glass was cracked, which they replaced under warranty. How on earth did that happen?
Is this a common fault?
