What are YOUR thoughts good or bad on this dealer.

I had excellent service from them.

I was staying at The Buccleuch Arms in Moffatt and needed help, they fitted me in as an emergency on a Saturday Morning and saved the trip for me.

I know they have helped others as requested - :thumby:

So 10 out of 10 from me.

OUT OF INTEREST ------ WHY ???????

To those asking why I'm asking: is simply that i wish to find out if my recent experience is atypical or not - sadly not a good experience at all.

Shame really, as i was going to negotiate to buy a new RT from them once they gave me my machine back from recall work.

Same experience here jaca so I took my old K16 across to Douglas park and got £2990 MORE:blast in px against a new R1200RT LE WC...........still waiting for the rain to wash the salt away....spring is in the air.

Shinyface: :D

I found them really good to deal with for the purchase of a 1200 LC - with a decent trade in price for an F800GS.

I've also used them for servicing and a warranty job replacing the screen on the 1200. No issues there either, in fact I can't see myself going anywhere else for servicing for the moment and it's not like Aberdeen is just along the road from Dalkeith.

I find them a good bunch of guys generally, but recently Steve, the mechanic, has left and there seem to be a few other staff changes too.
Maybe they are in a settling down period?

Cheers Robzz.

I am aware that there are a goodly few who, like you, have had a good experience with Dalkeith Motorrad. Maybe its just every time i have called has been a bad day for them??

Interestingly, I was advised by Tony when I did speak with him about my concerns that they do have 98% Customer Satisfaction (didn't say to what level) - so for every 100 customers only 2 have caused to rate them below 'satisfactory'. That is impressive indeed.

In conclusion, early this week I spoke to BMW UK Customer Service and gave my side of events, shared the issues, listed the matters of note and generally complained about Dalkeith. They advised they would take any action they deemed appropriate. And then, three days later Tony kindly emailed me to ensure I had the correct number for BMW CS.

More to follow - if I get contacted by BMW.

Jim

Up to the present I've never had any issues that required me going back to complain or ask for a problem sorted.

I've always found the staff very friendly and welcoming and as a dealer in general. They do run a few outings for their customers throughout the year and these are always well attended.

I used to use them and bought 5 bikes , all new throughout the years , but now deal with jeffries ,, have my reasons and certainly didnt agree with theirs at the time , good luck to them onyroads

Thanks Jim
I too am moving away. They've had their last from me and I have lined up a new bike from one of their rivals up here.

Guys
Thanks for all your public and private remarks. I acknowledge there are a few happy souls out there equally I'm now even more aware of those who have real concerns. I will respect the confidences, shared with me via PM for various reasons, some of which are very revealing.

Enjoy your biking.

Jim

Anyone know where Steve has gone ?
I rated him as a good service tech guy:thumb2

Always had excellent service from them.

Me and my oppo travel 100 miles from Newcastle to have bikes serviced @ Dalkeith......I live about 8 miles from Coopers.....

Jeeeeezuz Christ....

Why don't one or two of you chaps have a re-read of this thread, think about your every day dealings with people around you, and see what you have written.

Bunch of whinging northern brass monkey's.

Some on here have come a long way from being roughty tufty biker types....unless you never were.

Laughing stock, we are.:blast:rolleyes:

Thanks Jim
