I use YouTube a lot for old music videos for my 60's band (learning new songs)... is there an easy way of downloading the videos for playing 'locally' rather than live streaming? Or a way of saving them in iMovie etc?

Ta muchly.

I use a Firefox 'add-on' called DownloadHelper. If you download in mp4 format, you can import the videos into iTunes without the need to convert. I would imagine you could also drag the files into iMovie with no issue.

If you change the url to include 'kick' then you can download in a number of different formats.. select the one you want then press Go.

e.g.

www.youtube.com
becomes
www.kickyoutube.com

Same searching as you find on youtube etc..
Or if you find a youtube you like just change the url to include 'kick' before the 'youtube' part...
