Im sure it can be done and its probably not dificult but I'm a bit dim.

My lad wants to save a Youtube clip onto a memory stick so he can use it in a presentation at school.

How?

Www.freemake.com and when you go on you tube there will be an icon in your browser , click this new button and you can save in any format u want

I use Free Realplayer software on my Mac. The RealPlayer downloader automatically recognises the YouTube clips as you play them and gives you the option to download them. You can then export them in a variety of formats using the RealPlayer Convertor program. I assume RealPlayer offer a similar bundle on other platforms such as Windows.
