After installing IE7, when I try to see a video on Youtube, the message "you either have turned off Javascript on you require Flash Player".
I have downloaded the Flash Player umpteen times but still no videos.
I have search to find out how to turn on Javascript, but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in anticipation

Some of the default settings in IE7 block Youtube.

I went into the IE7 advanced setting and altered some of the tickboxes from the "recommended" settings. Can't remember which ones.

I'm not relying on IE7 for security on this PC. I'm hiding behind a hardware firewall, a virus checker and 2 anti-spyware applications.

I have now uninstalled IE7 and are now using IE6 again, and still can`t view Youtube.

I`ll have a go at the settings.

Youtube is not a "must see" but there is a particular video on it I want to see.

Thanks for your help

You need to go to Internet Options ( via Control Panel )...select security and highlight INTERNET. Click on 'custom level' and enable all the active X cirles in the list as you scroll down. This will do it. It spooks IE7 and a bar opens up at the top of your screen ( press X to delete it when it does) but there is no way to permanently stop this bar opening up !

Hope this helps:thumb
