Yum Yum my new Remus exhaust

Damn sexy

I has a similar looking Akro on my K12R, but since i changed to a Blackbird i have not been able to find any similar hex cans for it which is a shame. Enjoy!:thumb

bollox to the fuel just wanna nice sounding bark at the end of my wrist biking is emotional and i likes a good sound:thumb

If you really want loud here is a cheap alternative, take an old vacuum cleaner hose and hook up to your exhaust, now splice the other end and hook up to holes in either side of your helmet.

You'll have all the noise you want, and the and bonus of not pissing off the public and people that have to ride behind you!

PS don't forget to lift your visor

Hi Spike,

Did you fit the Remus headers as well? When you and I met at HG in Lincoln I'd just ordered a full system for mine, it's absolutely excellent especially without that wretched CAT! 6-10 mpg more as well now it can breath properly, got the K&N as well. Yours looks the dogs though! Have you done the HIDS yet? If not then get the 50 watt version from Colebatch.

Fit the headers and finish the job off properly. For the sake of another £230 its worth it, honestly. :thumb2

Not true - Remus are approved and thus don't void the warranty.

Agreed. :clap

Although in saying that I keep reading posts that suggest that a bike magazine did a test on Remus and Arkapovic exhausts and the result was that the Remus system ran lean, to a point where it was considered that it should be addressed?

Don't know, as I have not read the article concerned, nor can I find it anyway. :nenau

But I ran a Remus full system on my first 1150 then on my 1150GSA and had no problems at all. Currently testing a Remus full system on the 1200 as we speak.

But I wish that I could find that magazine article.

I have a full Remus system on mine and have done over 18,000 miles with it fitted. IMHO the difference is in the mid range.

It is quite interesting comparing the Akrapovic to the Remus Revolution.

Going by my seat of the pants dyno, the Remus seems better midrange than the Akrapovic.

But the Akrapovic rains supreme when the revs get higher, by a country mile in fact.

The Remus Revolution weighs in at 8lbs, the Akro is just 4.75lbs, the std can is in the region of 15lbs as a comparison.

IMHO the Arko looks nicer and is slightly better finished off, but I suspect that the Remus is built to withstand more everyday knocks and bangs. This is reflected in the overall weight of course.

With the insert out of the Arko, it really barks and has a very distinctive note. On the otherhand, the Remus (IMHO) just sounds very loud and has quite an annoying drone at motorway speeds.

Looking forward to doing a road test on the Hexacone, hopefully within the next few weeks. :augie

Remus

Hi
new around these parts, just fitted the remus headers + hexacone and agree looks the dogs, i have a question when on the centre stand the clearance between the collector and the bottom on the swing arm is rizla thin, is yours the same, looks fine when off stand but seems to close although in theory should not touch.
appriciate your feed back.
regards.

When you say collector do you mean the link pipe between the can and the header? :nenau

I have the same can, though all carbon, and a remus header system too.
baffle out sounds great , pops and bangs on the overrun. However cuts out in slow traffic now and again.
I could have bought this system from bmw but chose a cheaper option.
So as for warranty, this is rubbish.
And if it did affect the warranty they would have to be able to tie it back to the exhaust.
Enjoy it!
