Has anybody had any experiance of the ZARD exhaust, they are offering the slip on on flea bay germany. Wunderlich cataloge states :

Power, professional sound engineering and a worldwide unique design. Many manufacturers use one type of silencer adapted for many different bikes, ZARD on the other hand develops and produces small series of exhausts tailor-made for a selected number of bike models. We are very happy to have developed this truly stunning looking silencer together with Zard for the 1200 GS.
• Straight through absorption silencer with very low backpressure.
• Up to 4000 rpm dark growl, above it the GS roars out the full 100 horses with a sound like the old Paris Dakar machines.
• About 8 Hp and 5 Nm more. 4 HP more in mid range.
• Weight about 4 kg lower than original.
• Top quality construction, inside parts all made of stainless steel.
• Easy to fit, can be used together with original or H&B side cases.
• ABE approved.
The sound this exhaust emits is special and unique. This is a truly beautiful piece of art, made by the famous exhaust expert ZARD that combines best performance, sound and best appearance in one!

looks nice !!

£301.oo plus £12.07 to post on ebay item no 250046400736. Twicwe as much as a Leo Vince SBK evo 2. I just wondered if anybody had used one at all.

does changing the exhaust really make that much real-world difference? I've looked at the dyno graphs and yer £500 seems to get you about 3bhp more plus 10kg weight loss.

bump... any new comments on this exhaust?

I was thinking of getting a full BOS system on my future R1200GS, but this (along with some new headers, anybody tried the Wunderlich own ones?) seems ok also.

Damn no real performance comparisons for the 12GS in the Net.

Zard seem to be the hot topic in Ducati exhausts (no pun intended) though pricey. if I could I would.

Zard Exhausts.

Zard look the biz and as stated do a lot of pipes for Ducatis.

I dont have a 12GS but am currently running a Ducati Paul Smart for which Zard do a fantastic looking twin level pipe.....

But before I spent my £1200 I read up on it and there appears to be no-one that has bought one that can get the bike to run correctly and most are now selling them!

These items that were quite difficult to get are now being offered by US dealers on ebay.

Bazza.
