Hi any good routes around this area as will be staying there for one night and would like to extend to 2 nights. Have all my other routes sorted , will arrive to Zell after the Grossonockernicernocker ...Any tips would be much appriciated...Thanks in advance :beerjug:

Go west to Krimml Falls & the Gerlos Pass (a toll road)

From Zell am Ziller you can go south to the Hintertux and take a cable car to the glacier - I did this a couple of years ago and saw nothing as it was shrouded in cloud!

Alternatively, go north from Zell am Ziller to Achensee, Tegernsee then head back south to Zell am See - about 190 miles of lovely roads with great scenery.

Gets a +1 from me. IMO the Gerlos pass is better as a biking road than the Grossglockner as there seems to be less cars / motorhomes / buses / cyclists on it, and the bends are superb. And the views across to the falls are stunning.

The B164 from Saal to Bischofshofen-known as the Hochkönigstrasse. Surface a bit interesting in places but great fun. And if you joint the B59 and go north you come to Werfen for the castle featured in "Where Eagles Dare" ( closed Mondays)

This road forms part of one of my routes from my place over the Grossglockner, Hochkönigstrasse and back on the B99.
