Wanted ZFE (Central chassis electronics) HIGH.

Ebay often has ZFE's listed for sale - just compare Part numbers / stickers

Mine failed and I too looked on the real oem and found the other bikes that use the same one, bought one for an R1200RT with the same numbers but it wasn’t compatible with my triple black gsa. I was lucky and found one from a triple black that worked perfectly. Someone may tell us that they can be reprogrammed. It didn’t have all the esa settings, it was for a fuel strip fuel gauge an anologue rear light.

Mine too is the Triple black with esa. I've asked at James Sherlocks and Motorworks but nothing. Does anyone know if these can be repaired?

Am I right in thinking that any of these code numbers will fit mine or am I reading this wrong?

I think you’re reading it wrong. For example, a 2006 gs will have a bulb in the rear light and a fuel strip, neither of which yours has, an R1200R won’t have all the ESA settings.

On eBay, a quick message to the seller gets this reply.

GS1200 TE could be water cooled, but she did say 2010
Thanks but its so confusing to find the right one. I'm waiting for a reply from a company near Derby who repairs ecu's. I think repairing could be my better option at the moment.

Worth shopping around in uk for a repair? I vaguely recall 2 reliable back street (car) garages who used ecutesting.com a lot but were let down once or twice and used other ecu fixers instead who repaired stuff that ecutesting.com said could not be fixed.

I've finally managed to find one from the same year and same serial number as mine from the Netherlands. I'm off camping for a few nights so when I'm back I will update if it works or not...

I used ECU.de to repair my ECU.

They had the exact model and symptoms listed on the website. Total including postage around €400, been fixed a couple years now and working good.
