Hi folks,

Toying with a different screen for the RT. The Wunderlich one looks nice but a bit like a barn door and someone recommended the Ztechnik ones instead.

Have any of you gone the Ztechnik route on the LC? If so mid height or tall? Any photos, opinions etc welcome. I know screens are subjective and I will be taking a bit of a punt, but I am about 6' tall with 32" inside leg and I have the standard seat on high.

Regards,

Matt

I went Wunderlich to Ztechnik standard height but because of the way the air flows it's much better than stock, but with enough air to remind you that you are on a bike. I really like it.

Ps you never replied

Screen

There was a mahoosive screen on ebay for the RT LC. Held in place with a bungee for the photo to be taken so might be scratched:nenau:blast

That was the Wunderlich barn door that Tony swapped for the Ztechnik. It really is a monster! :o

I hated the standard screen as it was too noisy.tried cee bailies.better.tried ztechnic medium.perfect.clean air flow, fresh air when lowered, noiseless when raised an inch or so.

You are right about the Ztechnik, that's been tested properly in development, mine as mentioned is standard height but just like Wierpig says, air flows round it beautifully.

I'd be careful of tinted screens with a heavy tint as you can spend a lot of time looking through the RT screen.

Getting ready for work in a bit so will stick the Ztechnik extra pics up

Correct Matt, it's the standard height screen. There's a lot of info on the Ztechnik site about sizing your screen and I read up on that then ordered from Calsport.

Looks really good. I think I will get one via Cliff at Adventure Bike Shop along with some engine bars.

Many thanks for sharing the photos.

Matt :)

Had a brief ride with the new screen today and early signs are very positive.

Plenty of air when lowered, nice and quiet when raised. Could be a winner.

Many thanks

Matt

That Ztec screen looks ok, but quite similar to the OEM screen.
I'll stick with my Barn door. It may look huge but the protection it gives is outstanding.

The Ztechnik is a similar size to oem but totally different beast. I guess we are all different in what we want! :)

Ride safe,

Matt
