Zumo 400 and European maps

This is my first purchase of a GPS, so im on a learning curve.
I have a couple of questions please.

Ive seen advertised a Zumo 400 with upgrade European V10 CD, for £229.99 at NAV City.
Does this sound like the full cost, or do i have to pay for unlock code's etc.

1) Is it possible to load the full European maps onto a SD memory card, or do i have to load the maps onto the unit's own memory ( can i choose where to install) ?

If i can install onto the SD card.

2) Can i use a normal 2 GIG SD memory card of any brand, or does it have to be a Garmin card?

I have seen the Garmin SD card with all of Europe, for around £70, but that brings the total price closer to the 550, which for me, has to many functions that i don't use or need.

That would be the price for the unit and the software you won't have to shell out for additional unlock codes.

You will have to install an SD card to load the European maps, the 400 and 500 units have different internal memories but any SD card can be used to handle the maps and additional files such as music.
