Hi, my old faithfull Tom Tom told me the estimated time of arrival and distance to go on the main screen (as well as speed limit on current road which was useful)

I cannot find any of this information on the Zumo 550

anyone know if its there somewhere?

TIA

in short, the zumo is a load of old wank..... to see the distance to destination you need to press the green bar at the top of the screen, then something else, any only then does it show the distance to destination.......

tomtom far better... and i have a zumo!

Tomtom tells you the current speed limit does it

What's wrong with using your eyes and looking at the road signs ???

:blast

Time of arrival is on the main screen, to get distance, just press the page button once (second button up on the left.

A bad workman always blames his tools. You seem to have found a very complicated solution to a problem that just isn't there. If you press the green bar, it will give you a breakdown of all the forthcoming junctions etc.

If you simply press the page button (second up on the left), then the world is your lobster Rodney.

I not knocking the Tom Tom because it's a good piece of kit, just no-where near as good as the Garmin. My guess is that you learnt on a Tom Tom, and consequently don't find the Garmin as easy to use. Had you started on a Garmin, then I'm sure you'd have the same problem with your Tom Tom.

FWIW, my mate is the top police driving instructor (cars and bikes) for Herts, and recently had a Tom Tom on test. He hates it. However 3 of his students (whatever they're called) saw it on his bike and assumed it was a considered choice, so bought their own. They're now regretting it.

Doesn't say much for their future prospects of using their own discretion if they happen upon a 'comrade' (sic) making 'progress'
