Zumo 550 - BMW screen cross brace mount

Presently my Zumo 550 is fixed using the standard issue Garmin mount in a good viewing position, with no vibrations, but because of where it is I cannot lower my GSA screen, if I do the Zumo is too low.

I know you can buy a standard BMW mount for the screen brace which looks like the answer as the Zumo could be tilted up or down depending on screen position. My questions are about the cross brace BMW mount..............

Is there any noticable annoying vibrations ?

With the standard Garmin mount mine is left on the bike as it is locked and also the small top screw stops someone nicking the Zumo if you nip into a garage (would not stop someone determined). So what is the situation with the BMW cross brace mount with regards to nickability. Does it have to be taken off all the time ?

Sorry - read about posting pics on here but as a dedicated non-computer wiz gave up on that idea.

My question is just about the BMW mount not what I have already.

I have the BMW mount on mine, as you said its easy to change the angle as its a quick release bolt on thingy, no vibrations onmy 2010 GSA, i think they are about £45 from BMW.
