Before I post on the Zumo forums, I thought I'd check no-one had this problem.
When I listen to music or directions on the Zumo, I'm getting an intermittent problem.
Bascially, it'll all start off okay, then after a while, the audio goes crackly and intermittent.
Now, after doing various tests and playing around, I've narrowed it down to the bike mount.
If I put my finger on the lead/pin where it connects to the mount, everything plays fine all the time.
When I put the lead in, there's a positive movement of it going in and it's not loose.
So it would seem that either the connecter isn't being "grabbed" or seating properly and putting my finger on it is keeping it seated properly.
I don't need to exert any pressure as such, just put my finger on the lead.
I've used contact cleaner on the jack, inside the mount & all other bits, but I'm still getting the problem.
Obviously I can't ride along with my finger on the lead all the time
As the mounts well out of warranty, I've had a quick look, but the audio jack housing is sealed in gel, so there's no other way of cleaning it.
Any suggestions?
