Zumo 550 - is it me

or is it a complete pile of shite?
Before I used it I updated to the 2009 maps and it appears to be missing a whole load of data.
Meadow Lane , Bury PE26 2NS is missing completely on the Zumo although its on mapsource , as do most of the roads in a 10 mile radius.
The postcode search doesnt seem to work either as it insists I enter a full address and then doesn't find it.In fact it can't even find Harrogate.
It looks like its going back as unfit for purpose.

I've just done both searches and Harrogate is definitely in there (search under cities) and so is the postcode.

Don't know why you're getting the problems but have a look on Zumo Forums if you're stuck

I think i'll have to - I can find Harrogate by searching under Cities but when you view it on the map it has no roads.......

I have just tried it on a Zumo updated to 2009 maps.

It works fine. PE26 2NS = The Glebe. A quick look on Google Maps and on the device shows it to be on a T junction with Meadow Lane.

Harrogate also popped up; or at least it did when I spelt it correctly.

What it is sometimes easy to do is touch the 'DONE' button by mistake when switching between the '123' and 'ABC' tabs, which confuses the poor thing.

Try re-loading the maps, maybe there was a glitch when updating?

The other little thing I found is that, according to Mapsource at least, Meadow Lane, PE26 2NS (with or without the post code) is in Ramsey NOT Bury.

Which might explain why it's looking but can't find anything in Bury.

PS I have always doubted that there is anything north of Watford.
