OK I'm new to all this Bluetooth technology however I have invested in a new System 6 helmet with Bluetooth at great expense. I have a Zumo 660 and I have paired them up etc. however apart from the nice lady saying "devices connected" when both are turned on I then get absolutely nothing from the Zumo in the helmet speakers. I've made sure the volume settings are up for both devices and the Zumo happily announces away and plays mp3s through its own speaker but still nothing in the helmet.

Am I doing something daft or does the System 6 only work with the BMW Navigator!!!???

Any help much appreciated.

make sure

your bluetooth is enabled on your 660,goto settings, bluetooth, enable bluetooth then you might be able to hear emily talking.:)

The 660 happily talks to my phone and I can make calls via the gps. Just doesn't like speaking with the system 6. I have a Bluetooth dongle I just bought and that allows my iPod to be Bluetooth enabled. Having paired it with the system 6 I can hear music via the helmet. So it seems it's just gps speaking to helmet.

Does it matter gps not on mount on bike yet?

yes

the 660 has 4 functions for use, motorcycle, car, bicyicle and walking.when you put the 660 in the cradle wich it came with(ram mount)and fit it to your motorbike select motorcycle on the 660,then enable bluetooth.then all should be well.:augie you can try the 660 not in the cradle but make sure you have motorcycle selected on the settings for use.

My 660 used in conjuction with Scala teamset had a mind of its own, i could end a days ride with everything working and next morning nothing.
I gave up in the end and if i am on a long run use conventional earphones.

Thanks for this. Been away and not got the mount on bike yet so once sorted I will report back. Will check the settings to make sure Zumo knows it's a motorcycle. Got an audio adaptor and the helmet works fine with my DBA radio so it must be a settings thing.
