Does look neat Greg, despite it not having the features I’d hoped for it’s still very tempting :D

Ebbo,

[Thread Creep] I know you're keen on tracklogs, which the 660 & Nuvi 550 have capacity in abudance, but what else are you missing? [Thread Creep End]

Ebbo,

I know you're keen on tracklogs, which the 660 & Nuvi 550 have capacity in abudance, but what else are you missing?

- Map can't be re-typed for improved road visibility.
- Only a limited part of the screen is used for the map.
- Limited user control of map details.
- Imported track's can't be shown on the screen for navigating in areas with poor map coverage.
- Automatic zoom can't be switched off.
- Road details lost too early when zooming out.

And a few more things that makes the Zumo less useful for offroad & adventure in comparison with 276C and 278.

For usage on paved roads only it's a different issue. That's what the Zumo is made for!

Silly of me  but I’d hoped Garmin would have built in bike to bike radio and vehicle tracking on screen, its not that Garmin can’t do it as the Garmin Rino’s have had it for years.

If Garmin had fitted bike to bike radios, 3 would have been sold immediately to us when it was launched. It’s a nice enough GPS, I’m just disappointed.

+1:thumb

We could then spend time working out to add 5 Watt broadcasting power to a UK-only 1/2 Watt Zumo 6x0 unit. Unscrewing aerials, Intaride add-ons, changing basemaps.....
What a lark!
What a logistics nightmare for Garmin....
