Hi

I'm using Media Go to create playlists, which I'm draggin n droppin to the zumo. When I open the zumo playlist the file is there as a m3u8, but when trying to play the file it goes to the play screen but does not play.

Has anyone any thoughts why?

Cheers

think i had the same problem a while back.

What is happening is the playlist is made refering to locations of mp3s on your computer, so when the garmin tries to find them they are not there.

Plug in your garmin, then use media go (or any media player) and make a play list but pick the tunes from the mp3s on the garmin not your computer (i assume you have already put the mp3s omto the garmin). Save the play list in the mp3 folder on the garmin. It should now work ok

Mp playlists on a Zumo

If you are using iTunes try creating your playlist in the normal way then in the "Genres" column rename it as your playlist.
On the Zumo you then search by Genre and your playlists will be there.
I am sure there are other ways but this is the route I use and it seems to work well . I doing use iTunes Genres so don't mind forcing them to change to the playlist name.
If you are using a Mac create the playlist, select it all (Cmd A) open the INFO page (Cmd I) and change the Genres.
