Zumo 660 problem - help

Ive just updated my zumo 660 to maps 2014.10 with my mac.
However now the unit wont power up
it wont charge either.
Ive tried it on car mount, bike mount and mains.
It lights up "garmin" loading maps then stops and goes off,
if I plug it to the mains it says charging battery but doesn't.
Ive tried the master reset but it wont do this.

Any ideas before I bin it and buy a 350??

I'd try to do the update again. If that fails, contact Garmin.

Try removing the battery for at least 30 mins.

The dead Zumo syndrome, shame it worked for some. Try an email to Garmin, if no reply by tom then I'm afraid it's a long wait on the phone.

This happened to me a week ago, plugged the charger into the car and no image, did the resets, battery out/in still nothing, same on bike.

Then tried it next day and it worked and has been fine since - no help to you sorry but leave and try again.

Possible solution

This also happened to me during the latest update to 2014.4

Are you using an SD card in the 660 by any chance? I had to remove the card at which point the 660 fired up using the internal memory only. To get the latest update to take I had to format the card and start again from scratch.

Thats fook all

My 660 (brand new) intermittently shuts down whilst out on the bike for a run then restarts on its own, then every few hours or so refuses to pair with my sena headset. Me thinks it will go back.

took the sd card out, no different. im going to try a different battery next
