My 660 needs to go back for repair. what files should I backup so I can recover my favourates etc?

Maybe I'll try that, unless any boffin on here knows. Maybe I could also copy the whole thing and then work out what to copy back

This may help.

Our nuvi, zumo, dezl, RV, and LIVE devices allow you the ability to backup and/or restore the locations saved in the favorites, saved menu and routes1 on the device. To backup the favorites, saved addresses, or routes from the Garmin device:

Download Garmin Express
Connect the device
Garmin Express should detect the device automatically. If it does not, click the green refresh button on the top of the Garmin Express menu
Once the device is found you will have the option to click "save device"
If the device has already been saved you will not need to complete this step
Click device
Click back up/restore
Click back up files now
If you would like to restore the favorites, saved addresses or routes to your device select the date and time of the backup from the drop down menu, and click restore now. This will restore the favorites or saved addresses to your device.

1Routes will only be backed up from devices that support multiple stop routing.

OK, well that seemed to go swimmingly well and top marks to Garmin on replacing the unit. I do have a few questions though:

1. When turn on the device, I get a messaga saying 'Cannot Unlock Maps'. If I press 'OK' though, it still works OK. Do I need to do something?
2. Garmin Expres tells me that my internal memory is lmost full and that I may want to buy a memory car. I already have a memory card.
3. How do I make sure I have the right stuff on the device and the memory card?
4. I need to get lifetime updates. Is this what I need and the best deal: http://www.i-cheapmall.com/garmin-n...ates-for-nuvi-series?language=en&currency=GBP
