Well, after all the very helpful advice I got regarding down loading cd's onto my zumo it aint working!!!. Down loaded the firts cd Abba Gold ( I know, I can hear the groans from here!) worked ok just onto computer files not to zumo, this went fine. Any further attempts, Stones, Neil Diamond etc and the message comes up cannot rip one or any tracks from CD. does this mean it's security issue, have I got too much in the computer or is it a simple (not to me!) error?. Once again I need HELP!!!!! Aghhhhhhhh. All answers worth a drink I promise you! many thanks in advance for any suggestions (not chuck the whole lot out of the window 'cos I'd already thought of that and it's open already!!.)

So, is this an issue with ripping the CDs to your puter. Or transferring the (ripped) mp3 files to your zumo?

I use iTunes to rip the CDs to mp3. Then copy and paste them to the zumo audio folder.

I have only had problems in the past trying to put too many MP3's onto the internal zumo drive or trying to use the wrong format. I now just put all my music onto an SD card and leave the main unit alone. Got about 700 MP3's on the card the only problem being it takes about 5 minutes for the Zumo to load up and start working so I turn it on while getting kitted up.

What software are you using to rip?
Like I said, I use iTunes, but there are loads of similar free program's.

Check that you have enough space available on the drive you are ripping too.

Thanks for the reply, using xp media player, just put on one cd all ok but no luck with anything else. Only this one cd on it so I dunno. I'll have to give another site a try what is reccomended.
Thanks for the advice!

If you are stuck,we'll have a session when we get back from welland.
btw i ve got 60 gigs of tunes for you to play with:augie.
btw i find it easier to put the files directly on the memory card via a memory card adaptor, much quicker.about % quid for the adaptor.
Or you could bring the nav and card over and we'll rip n burn..P
