had a read of the manual...little use tbh, also searched zumoforums for an idoiots guide to loading music onto zumo...nothing found relevant...

even searched on here and failed:blast

so
help and advice please!
I know I can load music onto zumo, and my sd card is big enough, but as I want to preserve the same playlists i have on my player...HTF am I supposed to do that? can playlists be copied across?
also
my music appears to be in a variety of formats, including mpeg (i think), do I have to convert every music track file into mp3 to be able to play them on zumo??/

is there a guide how to do these things that I have missed...
or is it another example of the wonderful user friendly approach of garmin that i will have to give up and stick to the player I have???
a great system of features and benefits for zumo...most of which seem impossible to get to work....

if it is blindingly obvious how this works....be gentle with me, blame it on my advanced age:rob

It will only play MP3's. Lots of info on "Zumoforums.com".

thanks re mp3 format issue I sort of guessed that would be the case, thus my question about converting file formats...an idiots guide would be nice that included a non labour intensive solution...

"also searched zumoforums"

done that...
and yes there is lots of info...none of relevant to my query!

For converting audio formats i'd recommend dbpoweramp (and its totally free).

Download it here:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_dbpoweramp_music_converter/

Once installed, simply select the tracks that you want to convert, then right click on them and select 'convert to' from the sub menu...bingo.

I'm not sure its possable to creating play lists on the Zumo though.

hope this helps.:thumby:
