zumo - comms

( hope this is the right sub - forum..here goes)

I am picking up my new gsa in a few weeks, I also want the mottrad-zumo ( 550 I think) , the dealer has offered to fit/configure the zumo onto the bike.

A question, here I am confused. Can I thru this device have rider-to-pillion comms ? If so what do I need to do to achieve this. Is it expensive ?

no you can't... you can connect a BT(Bluetooth) head set to the Zumo and a BT phone at the same time giving you voice instructions from the Zumo and phone conversation but you need to have some kind of intercom to talk to your passenger, be it another BT head set or whatever...
I use the Scala rider team set and it works great, Autocom and Starcom1 are the two main hard wired intercomms which will also let you connect your Zumo/phone MP3 player etc etc altogether...
