Zumo, Migsel Mount, 1150GS

I'm sure this is going to be the first of several daft questions as I get the bike ready for our trip so I'll apologise in advance.

I've just fitted the Migsel speedo mount but I can't see where I can neatly run the power and audio leads. Down the front of the instrument console will look horrible so I dismissed that. I considered drilling a hole in the 'cover plate' (I've no idea what it's called - the bit under the screen covering the wires) but don't think I'll be able to reseal it with the leads going through and I'm concerned about water ingress.

I've had a thorough (I think) search of the board but can only see pictures of the Zumo fitted to the 1200 so any advice/pictures of how to run them for the 1150 will be gratefully received.

Take off the screen and the cover plate behind it, then the wires will just drop down behind that with no drilling.

Michel gave me the same answer to my email enquiry to him.

I thought it was quite a snug fit between the cover and the instrument housing to keep it watertight but you're both right, the leads will go through quite easily. Thanks.

That being the case I'll probably look for something that's live only when the ignition is on in the instrument housing rather than running the Zumo power lead back to the Centech fuse panel.

I took my feed as a piggy back off the front aux power socket, that way the socket is still free for use if needed. It's switched by the way.

Thanks and sorry for my tardy reply. I wired these up yesterday and, in the end, as I had to run the Autocom wires back to the other side of the tank I took the Garmin lead there as well.

There's not a lot of room 'inside' for parts is there? Once I'd got the Autocom and auxiliary fuse panel in the gap behind the battery it's pretty full. The alarm is not going to be fitted until next week now and I've no idea where he's going to be able put it.
