zumo not connecting to PC properly!

Am I doing something wrong here?

Plug zumo into USB socket and it starts to go into PC mode ok but then for some reason it beeps and returns to 'normal' boot up mode.

Dont see why it does it though. Sure it didnt do it this way before.

Any clues?

Tried another lead / USB port?

Some have many problems with the micro card, if you have one in might be worthwhile taking it out and seeing what happens.

Then possibly try downloading the drivers again.

I had exactly this a few days ago, changed the usb lead from a self-windy one to a solid Sony one, worked. Threw usb lead in bin, to lazy to check it blah blah.

cheers John, my 660 (Nav IV) suddenly started behaving oddly - when I connected it it flashed up in My Computer for 2-3 sec then disappeared. Checked everything I could, tried new leads, look in disc management - then took out the micro SD card which I'd loaded music on and it worked.

Weird. I'll update and then see if it recognises the card, this is the 2nd unit I've had as the first stopped seeing the card.

I ended up restarting the PC and it worked...

The problem was a corrupted mini SD card in the Zumo - looks like the the last Zumo had a fault which corrupted the card, I put it in the new Zumo and the Zumo wouldn't connect - took the SD card out and couldn't read/recognise it but without it in the Zumo connected fine. I haven't put a fresh mini SD in yet to check if the card slot works.

When I plug My Zumo 550 into my puter it starts up then freezes on the main screen.

Out with the battery, plug it in again and then it behaves perfectly. Weird as it happens every time.
