Have read a few threads on the Zumo to n-com issues but still cannot solve the problem with the Zumo failing to connect to the headset, have tried all the possible causes but need some more information please.

Hi mate, I had similar problems where my Zumo was constantly disconnecting with my N-Com. This is a copy of the solution that was kindly provided to me.

Worked a treat although I do sometimes have reconnection failures. I think these are however linked to moving items too far away from each other and this seems to cause the problems, i.e phone in pocket, Gps on mount and generally leaving helmet sitting wherever I drop it, ha.

If this happens I tend to switch all off and start from scratch, works until now, fingers crossed, hope this works for you cheers,

There are "profiles" for the bluetooth connection. HS: Headset profile, HF, Hands-free profile.

You cannot switch between the two, you need to select one or the other when you first pair something with the helmet. Start with the helmet switched off. Now hold down the centre button and keep it pressed. After some time (~20s?) all of the lights will start flashing rapidly. You will have done this before when you paired the zumo or phone. This is the helmet in HS pairing mode. (or HF, I can never remember which way round).

If you do not release the buton but keep it pressed, after a short time (~10s?) the lights will start to flash in a different pattern, even faster if memery serves. This is the helmet now in HF pairing mode (or maybe HS, the other one anyway).

HS is the most common profile, but sometimes HF will work better.

thanks Drifter, tried it and still no joy! If I get the connection it asks for a pass code, I punch in the code IE 0000 0r 1234 etc and it comes back failed. Is there another code I'm missing?

Well that was sods law, it some how connected while I was fiddling with the set, It just connected, now I'm reluctant to switch it off just in case it doesn't come back on ha!

Can be somewhat temperamental and I find I have to ensure that terminal block on bike fit is clean and dry. Any probs with mine seem simple enough to resolve, so far, fingers crossed. I have been wanting to expand mine for bike 2 bike but so far have been unsuccessful in getting wiring to link to existing helmet connectors and as rechargeable battery is limited in life, how to charge on move another pain, stiil must keep looking, cheers,

P.S. And the passcode is usually 1234.
