I am looking for a GPS unit to use here in Aus that will go on my 1200 Adv and be used in the 4 x 4 it will need to be able to work "off track" without going daft. I also need to be able to work using Grid References to i/p waypoints and get a position out in the same format. Info on the Zumo on these points is a little scant, it can I beleive accept "Topo" maps on SD. Can it work in Grid references, would it be suitable for outback bashing on the bike and 4x4?

I need a unit that is;

1. a navigator
2. GPS
3. Water/weather proof
4. Use on Bike & Car on & off road
5. WGS84 Grid format
6. Topo Maps

Hi Roger,
I think there is more stuff on advrider about GPS in OZ. Have a look in the local section.
(saw a thread yesterday on zumo pricing)
Not a user myself so cannot help
