Just thought I'd pass on my experiences on doing the latest update to 4.30plus. I'm sure no one else reading this forum is as stupid as me, but you never no!!!
OK - went to the update site and clicked on NavIII v4.30, (threre are two versions available- 4.30 and 4.30plus) Doesn't matter which you choose you get v4.30plus. Upgrade of unit was succesful and I reset all my defaults. Biggest change is that I could now select motorcycle in the vehicle choice.
Fixed to bike, switched on and I'm in the middle of the bloody USA????
Panic so I - wait for it - reinstalled all the PC soiftware and started again. Same thing, I'm still in the USA.
After a further hour of p..sing about I went in and had a beer and when I came back the unit said, "are you thousands of miles away" answered yes and it proceeded to widen the satellite search. 5 mins later and voila - back in the UK.
Wish they'd added a read me file that said this would happen. However my unit is now a "BMW Nav3 plus" and I'm a happy bunny.
