handle bar position

Who has changed the position of the steering bar?
it can be set in 3 position.
towards you middle away from you.

i thing it's in the middel posiotn when you buy the bike, i wonder what the diference will be.

At high speed, longer distance i have diffeculty standing on the bike because of the wind and i think the handle bar is to close to me. If i change the handle bar position will it be easier riding standing at high speeds?
second, how does it affect steering while sitting on the bike, because the handle bar is a bit futher away?

I'm looking at changing mine to the "short arse" setting........I'll let you know how I get on !
