As forecast so great decided to drag the old bike out of garage.

Though a bit damp with ice in shade we left home mid-morn to give roads a chance. Haven't been out for an age so nice to be out...once finished faffing about with layers and layers of warm wear :D

Took a spin up over the Lion Inn way between Farndale and Rosedale and it was absolutely glorious and hardly a soul about, back over to Glaisedale and Fryup (wish we had)) this minor route was certainly not gritted and would have been questionable a few hours earlier, but erring on caution in the shade all seemed well.

Heading out of 'breakfast' dale we took a little short cut across country, wet, but not too challenging, which of course is wise with Bev on the back:rolleyes:

Glaisedale Rigg next and you could see the sea in the far distance, cracking day. Couple of squirmy moments negotiating the larger pools en-route, but otherwise easy-peasy two-up and very enjoyable

Then finally down Lythe Bank for the best approach view of Whitby and a pause at the car park to contemplate the ocean and watch for the incoming waves catching out pedestrians.
