Center stand on or off for track.

Can anyone tell me if i need to remove my center stand when i do my track day.I have ground it out a few times when touring in scottland, mind you i had full luggage and soft suspension as my arse was sore.
I sometimes worry my pots will ground out,is this possible.
It would be nice to have some feed back on this subject as it would boost my confidence on the road and track.The bike is a gs 1150 02 model.

Not sure if the stand on your standard GS is the same as the adventure but the centre and side stand are all part of the same unit and you have to take both off
