There was a thread a few weeks ago asking about Tourance.

Near my office there is a bike tyre place.

E-mailled them for price and availability and then asked if they minded if I post their details here.

Don't know what they are like - I was enquiring so that I know when I have to replace the Trail Wings fitted to my 1150 as OE.

Here is the reply to my enquiry so try it if you want to:

......................
"We will tend to keep those at all times. The price for full fitment to the
> bike is £176.90 (including, balancing, valves and VAT).

> steve@sidcupmotorcycletyres.co.uk

When I asked about posting the details, the reply was:

"No problem, that would be much appreciated.

> Cheers"

I think I will be trying them about early May time so I have some nice grippy new stuff for the TT.

No axe to grind here - hope it works out out for all of us!

The web site has address and all other details, as you would expect.

The first question from me was........

"Please will you confirm if you stock Tourance or are able to get them in and give me a price to supply and fit a pair"

From the answers I have posted above I would expect that the price quoted is for a pair supplied and fitted.

I suggest that anyone needing new boots should ask before going there.

Martin,I trust that sorts that out? Thanks - I should have said it was the price quoted for a pair. I do assume that a pair means 1*front and 1*rear!!!!!!!!

Hi, back again!

For info; I recently (16/01/03) bought a rear Tourance for £78.73p inc VAT. from Universal Tyres in Chelmsford.

The old one it replaced was 18 months old and had covered 13,000 miles! Not bad I thought.

While I'm on the subject, the front was £70.18p inc VAT. from the same supplier (03/09/02) and replaced the original that had done 17,500 miles.

Both were off the shelf!

Just to confirm - the above prices ARE for a pair of Tourances.

SMCT are good, but a bit slow at weeknds, 'cos there's usually a queue!
