1200 GS Oil change

How often does every-one change the Oil and filter. What is it for the warranty. I couldn't find it in the manual.

Does any-one know were I can get a Oil filter wrench for a 1200 GS in Vancouver.

I called a Dealer and asked who much for an Oil and fliter change and was told 130 dollars, which is just over 62 pounds. Does that sound like a fair price.

Every 6000 miles.

Takes about 30 minutes, with practice. So add up the price of a gallon of oil and half an hour of labour to see what the price should be.

Given BMW's hourly rate that price sounds about right, but I'd do it myself

I drained Oil, I just could not remove the filter.

I will have to get one of those tools.
