Anyone got a BT Freeway radio?

Anyone got a BT Freeway radio like the pair below?

What sort of batteries do they use?

Does the spec say what the transmision power is?

Greg, they use a shrink-wrapped four-cell AAA Ni-MH rechargable battery pack (Code 004194) 4.8V 600mAh as standard. Don't leave them in the charger for long periods as they "go off", but if they do the unit will happily take the AAA non rechargable ones.
Power is the min range for PMR (I think), and the range will depend on positioning of the unit. Try Google for more advice.
PS Mine are the type without the built-in FM radio by the way.

Greg, all these PMR radios are restricted to 500 mW.

I knew about the 500mW limit - I wondered if these units are at the limit or below it.

I think it's 498.76425mW but I'll just get up in the loft and dig out my Tandy signal/power/SWR meter and check
