Don't know - still OK at 16,500!!

That's where I'm at. I had a look at the pads last night in prep for a ride to Austria and I reckon that they'll easily go another 5k miles. Back is the same!

Best

Using standard pads I've never got more than 7/8K using EBC HH's I can get more than 14K.

Don't know..........previous GS pads still going strong at 20,000 +, then I sold it for CC II ;)

And me. Original pads - 16K and still well within the limits but see my post on the rear pads . :(

Cheers

On standard BMW pads,my fronts have never been changed and got the following sort of mileage on my last 2 GS's
1100GS - sold at 36,000 - never changed front pads ABS
1150GS - sold at 24,000 - " " " Non ABS
Current 1150GS - 15000 miles and only 1/3 worn.

Rear pads on 1st 2 gs's were swapped at circa 20,000 miles- ABS

Ebc

Hi

Bined the standard pads as they don't stop you 2 up doing a ton. (riding in germany of course ;) )

EBC HH on front and the green kevlar jobs on back. The standard pads were lucky to make it the 6000 mile between services. EBC create lots of dust but last. on second set so about 15/16k.

There does not seem to be any extra disc wear either

 :goof

ok
whats the easy way to know what is left from the pads (REAR and Front)

Photos will be nice.....

DO SOME PEOPLE DRIVE WITH THE BRAKES ON??

Can't believe you could wear out standard front pads in 6/7/or 8K in normal hard riding?. Is somebody taking the piss?. I've now done 34K on originals and reckon they'll make 40K? and I ain't hanging around. also had no problems with the stopping power - tyre to road friction is the limiting factor here I think.

Let the brakes off now and again!!..........................Grizzly:confused:

Thats because you never use them Grizzly. I am going to disconnect my brake light the next time im on a ride out with you lot. Its embarrasing. Comfort braking I call it, just touch the lever just in case. Never seem to use the back one at all.
