A Weekend of GS Trail Riding 9th & 10th June 2007

the guy using my drz ( last started 2006 maybe again this friday night, nothing like prior planning) is now coming up saturday morning to collect it, i shall bash him with a big stick should he make me late however assuming we miss you at the start are there any planned points for a stop so i can rv with you easily, if not im sure we will catch up at some point on route.
What Nin said - also my mobile is 07754 09 00 99 if you need it. Don't have any planned stops, as such, playing it by ear ;)
If you don't have a GPS/Mapsource it might be worth printing off the "map" images from posts 2,3 & 4 of this thread - we'll be following the waypoints shown in numerical order.

EDIT - also see post 62 of this thread for a list of OS coords (assuming you have an OS map, of course :) )

CLive,

Can you still accomodate a late entry? I would be pleased to join you all for either day, not sure if I can do both. I do not need a tent pitch.

Richard

Clive, I can't get away early on Sat now so I'll either join you on the way or see you at the campsite - any idea what time you'll be there?

martin

Well, I'm all packed and ready to go. :bounce1

I've booked lots of sunshine for the weekend so don't forget to bring some water. :Motomartin

I don't have a particular lunch stop planned, so I'll be grabbing some lunch stuff from Tesco which is about 1/2 mile north of the BP garage, although if we see a likely pub enroute I may be tempted to stop ;)

See you all in the morning :thumb2

Of course :thumb2

Great I look forward to seeing you at the start

Devizes eh?, so you'll be going home for tea, camping in your back garden and back with us for breakfast then ;)

Precisely except the bit about the camping in the back garden.

If I had to guess I'd say...
Stow lanes - 1.5 hours
Cirencester lanes - 1 hour
Fosse Way - 1 hour
"Calne" lanes - 1.5 hours

so assuming a 10am start and no major problems, around 3pm :nenau

Great - I should be able to get away by lunchtime so I'll either see you on route (I'll give you a call to find out where you are) or see you at the campsite:thumb2

Just about ready for the morning, Apologies, When I said I'd see you Saturday I didn't mean just for Saturday, Intending on doing both days.:P
See you there.

Time I thought about a rerun of this - mid to late June?

Anyone interested got dates to avoid?

I would...

... if you chose the weekends 21/22 or 28/29th June.

Thanks for your initiative, Clive! :clap

If it's at all possible on Tourances then the 21/22 gets my vote.

as the following weekend it's :-

Hoping to be in the country that weekend so count me in :thumb2

Clive - you probably know them all, but I know a few of the lanes around the North of Cheltenham (Kineton area to be specific). Would be happy to share the routes.
