Wanted.. recomendations etc for ally box's

Yes .. they are indeed very nice..
However, as a man who tends to vote with his lolly I will not spend a penny with Touratech ( unless I have zero choice ) until they stop ripping people in the UK off ( Touratech ripp off
( Advert mode off )

I had no idea touratech were over charging UK customers! :forry I bought my panniers with the bike but I definately wont choose TT again if there is an alternative. I was going to buy TT's lamp grill but after reading your post I looked around and found a better one by Wunderlich. Even folds down for cleaning/road use.

5) Cut out or smaller.. either will do,, in fact currently just looking at the pos. of fitting a different zorst so I can have the same size box's on both sides ( proly complete toffy and a pipe dream but looking nonetheless :) )

Entirely possible - and I've got it on my 1150 - and I'll be at the Tail End if you want to have a proper nose at it....

Ah ok..
did a search and yes, they are bloody nice too..
So just down to price and availabilty of Civils and Verns at the end of the day.. Unless I score a set at the tail ender this weekend ( amazingly unlikely to say the least though ! )

While you're at the BMF, you might as well check out the Metal Mule stand.

You'd better tell Stujw70 about those, I think he's been looking for them for a couple of days.

Edit: Actually I think it was someone else, but unfortunately the board doesn't allow searches for 3 letter words, like 'ARD'. Anyway, some b****r wants 'em!

Edit Squared: OK, it's ShaunT279:blast

Each to their own...

And I voted for Vern's WorldBeaters.

'Hand crafted in the shed' by a master fabricator. And a really top bloke as well.

They are all hand welded (none of that rivet stuff), unbelievably strong, waterproof, anodised, stainless steel fittings and can be made to your spec - wide or narrow, tall lids or short lids.

If you want SERIOUSLY well made kit, try and actually look at a set, rather than just Vern's pictures.

Hi Redcap,

Welcome to the nuthouse ;)

I reckon you'll be well received in here, but I suggest that you might want to pay the yearly sub of £12, and then get yourself a posting under the 'Vendors of Innovations' forum.

Just don't do it too soon, I really shouldn't be thinking about buying a new topbox yet...

Will do ,but being new how do i pay my inovators subs and who to ?

Go to the main UKGSer page and there's a link above the vendor list, top left, that says 'click here to subscribe'.

By the way, before the pannier feeding frenzy starts, why not pop over to "I'm new here please be gentle" and say hello. There's a luvverly laydee there who would love to introduce you to the proper meaning of 'whiplash' :D

panniers

Got a few days off soon so i will sort some pictures of my wares for you to have a look at.

You could have a read of this thread before parting with your money. If you do splash out, you may also be interested in these.

Unfortunately, caveman is no longer in the business, and EIBC is no more - I think he went back into employment rather than continuing the self-employed route. I think that the Daerr boxes from Munich are the same Alpos ones though.
