I have been working with Keihan for some time to produce some quality GS headers and Y pieces and we are now in the position to market them. Keihan have kindly asked me to market and sell them on their behalf.

They have been producing this 1150 GS Y piece for over 12 months and they have proved both durable and have attracted excellent comments on both the quality and finish.

This Y piece is Stainless Steel and is hand made in the UK by some of the most experienced exhaust manufacturers around. The Y piece does away with the CAT and gives an uplift in mid range engine performance.
It fits directly onto the 1150GS using the existing clamps and as it is the same dimensions as the OEM Y piece, it accomodates the whole range of standard and aftermarket cans.

The price of this 1150GS Y piece is £180 (inc VAT) + shipping. Fitting can be arranged if you need this for around the same price as shipping. Current delivery will be mid January as the manufacturer is closed for Christmas.

For all you polish fetishists, the Y piece will retain it`s initial finish with simple regular cleaning.

For more info on these British made Y pieces either pm me, e-mail to [email protected] or call 07766 554069.

Sounds good.... what's the deal with the headers?

This is the Y piece which fits onto the 2 seperate headers on the 1150.

£180 + delivery:thumb

I`m just off to work so if you need any more info, give me a call or I`ll get back to you tomorrow morning:D

Please please please please make 1100gs or 1150rs type headers for the 1150GS.
Big and fat and one piece if poss, ending up at the silencer connection.

Im sure lots of folk would like this. (maybe).

C'mon Sarge, everybody and his dog makes Y peeeces. Be different.

Please.

I'm with Den on this. I'm toying with the idea of swapping c/heads so I can use the sweeping headers from an 1100 with a link pipe & my existing Remus race can. I'd be really keen on a big bore, swoopy header that fits the 1150 c/heads.

Being thick, and never having had the need to remove the header pipes on mine....do these go into the head, or do they meet up with the curvy bit that come out of the engine somewhere?

I had Keihans on my Morini and they were the best aftermarket pipes there were. Full stop. BUT, I would like a system that you replace the whole lot....from the cylinder head back to the end can. AND I am in the position of having to do that very thing in the near future, thanks to a Toyota yaris that tried to park on my bike.....took out both of his doors and just broke the crash bars, bent a pipe and dented a pannier. It's going to cost him though.

Keihan don`t do an end can at the moment but it`s something we are currently in the process of designing, primarly for the 1200 but will fit an 1150 with different brackets. Hopefully, we`ll have an end can ready in 3/4 weeks time.

The Y piece joins the headers underneath the cylinder heads so you retain the original 1150 headers. They are very easy to fit.

Meantime, I have an 1150 Y piece for immediate delivery for £180 + p&p. The stainless steel clamps are £5.50 each but you can use your original clamps.

You can pm me or call me on 07766 554069 if interested.
