What is the best match for touching up the stone chips & minor corrosion on the front of the engine, forks, fork brace etc. I looked at the Hammerite silver which seems close. Any other ideas?

Cheers Paragon,

May have to try the Smooth silver on the engine as well.

This is an old thread, but I haven't found anything better !

I have 'scuffed' the blue anodising on the front forks of my 2004 1150 GSA :blast.

Just a small touch with a wire wheel but it will bug me.

Does anyone have recommendations for re-touching the blue ??

I thought about dark blue 'Smoothrite' but its a lighter blue than I remember, maybe the 'Hammered Blue' is what I recall.

Thoughts please.

And yes, I'm a clumsy idiot :augie.

I'll respond to my own question . . .

I bought a small bottle of "BMW 381 Le Mans Blue" touch-up paint; one of those little things that has a brush attached to the inside of the cap.

Its quite a good match and being a dark blue metallic paint shouldn't look out of place.

Once its all dry I'll buff it up and re-fit the forks

Must be more careful in the future ;).

Bob.
