Douglas Park is delighted to announce an exciting start to the summer with an invite to the area's motorcyclists to help celebrate the official opening of Douglas Park Motorrad with a two-day extravaganza on June 22-23.
The weekend’s events will begin with show stopping performances from professional street-bike freestyle motorcyclist and BMW Motorrad’s official sponsored rider Mattie Griffin who will be performing stunts on his BMW F800R at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday in our two-day event.
Guests can also take the opportunity to browse our bespoke showroom, which along with our full range of BMW bikes, parts, accessories and clothing, will also have a range of classic and race motorcycles on display and for those with a motorcycle licence, the dealership will have a number of BMW demo bikes for you to test-drive under expert guidance in our organised ride out.
With trade stands from the likes of the Classic Motorcycle Club and Scottoiler Ltd and displays from Douglas Park BMW and Bentley Glasgow there will be lots to see and do as well as approachable staff on hand to give advice and answer any bike related queries. Our event looks to be a great day out with fun activities for all the family, including face-painting for the children, giveaways, a Barbeque which will cater from 11am-4pm both days and the opportunity to meet and greet ‘WSBK’ road racer and 2 times British Superbike Championship winner Jamie Whitham, ‘TT’ champion Iain Duffus, 3 times British Superbike Champion Niall Mackenzie and his sons, Tarran and Taylor Mackenzie.
As we aim to bring the ‘Extreme’ to East Kilbride, our event will also see low finance on used BMW Motorrad bikes, up to 30% off selected lines in our clothing and accessories range and competitions for the best classic and modified motorcycle and the best classic and modified BMW motorcycle from 2pm-2.30pm each day.
