Mudsling or Hugger - Which is Best

Hi all,

I have an almost new 1200 GSA (LC) and it is highly unlikely that I will ever go off road in a big way. The odd green lane.... Mmmmm, maybe, but not as a general rule. But I have noticed the the GSA does throw up a lot of she!te onto the back of the bike,

So, I'd appreciate your feedback and recommendations please on which I should go for. The Mudsling or the Hugger?

I have a mudsling on my 11 GSA. I don't think it makes much difference as the bike , the seat, panniers, our legs still get covered in crap from the road. I am looking out for decent looking higher now.

A mudsling keeps the crap off the rear shock... A hugger would struggle

Is there a mudsling for an 1150? I want one but have only seen hungers.

I use a Mudsling and have removed the black plastic thing behind the back wheel which seems to have done the trick.

ive fitted the ilmberger hugger, mudsling and the numberplate splash guard ..just to be safe like :thumby:

Belt n braces is the way to go, worked well for me, even in torrential rain my trousers were never covered in the shite.

Mudsling will be fine. A hugger on a GSA is wrong on every level.

Couldn't agree more, and, as Steve says get rid of the plastic thing behind wheel. Pillion does good job too!

Sounds good to me. Mudsling it will be then.

Any recommendations on which make is best to go for???

I have tried allsorts and currently have a Mudsling front extender fender and hugger and a Touratech rear plate. Without doubt the Mudsling is the best option, its very good.
