Indeed :) It's starting to look like you may have the last laugh on ol' JB ;)

....you lot discussing the size are fucking embarrassing.

Yeah..........but............you're forgetting the main demographic in here. Folks here aren't into GS's as off road/adventure bikes. They're into them 'cos they are too old & fat to ride pretty much any other bike out there :thumb

• Limited edition TripMaster and Africa Twin heritage book for first UK customers

Get more with your new Honda Africa Twin.

Ahead of its imminent arrival in UK showrooms, Honda have begun taking pre-orders for the much-anticipated CRF1000L Africa Twin and are rewarding customers with an exclusive giveaway. The first 350 customers to place an order will receive a limited edition, numbered, Africa Twin TripMaster and 80-page book, outlining the rally heritage of Honda’s legendary adventure motorcycle.

Trusted by HRC riders, Joan Barreda and Paolo Goncalves to navigate them safely through desert race stages and trips to Tescos, the Africa Twin RNS TripMaster XL adds an extra air of adventure to the road-going bike. Finished in a silver anodized, machined aluminium casing, engraved with the Africa Twin logo and series number – up to a total of 350 in the UK – the TripMaster offers a dual trip function, as well as displaying ride data such as current and top trip speed. Completely water and dust-proof, the Africa Twin TripMaster XL is made to the same specification used by Barreda and Goncalves on their rally machines.

2016 marks the 30th anniversary of the first in a run of four consecutive Paris-Dakar victories for Africa Twin and the limited-run book, ‘Africa Twin, the Return of a Legend’, commemorates its world-beating history. It examines the lineage of Africa Twin, from XRV 650, the XLV 750R, through to today’s, all-new CRF1000L Africa Twin. Packed with archive material, stunning artwork, previously unreleased interviews with product designers and testers, as well as a look at the latest Africa Twin apparel developed by Honda, it represents an 80-page celebration of Honda’s commitment to True Adventure.

Set to be unveiled in showroom ready form for the first time at Motorcycle Live on 28 November, showgoers will be amongst the first in the world to see the latest incarnation of a legend.

To find out more about CRF1000L Africa Twin and to place a deposit, visit the Honda website – and don't miss the December 9 issue of MCN to read the launch report.
