How do you align the drive shaft uj's when replacing the paralever ? and how important is it ?

Hmm.. doesnt tell you how to align them 
You align them as per the pictures.
On the bike itself shine a torch up the end of the shaft tunnel to view the uj joint position, then set the lower uj .
The splines will put it very slightly out of phase, but nothing to worry about.
4th paragraph down in the link confirms that the pics show the two parts correctly phased.

The clue is in the picture of the assembled drive shafts.
Look at the position of the universal joint yokes at each end of the shaft in relation to one another. The shafts are all shown in phase.

Oh right that's how you phase them ..wondered how you could see what the front uj was sitting like ..
