Just got a used keyless ride fob as a spare from a fellow tosser for my 1200 GSA Rallye 2018. Fitted a new blade so now need to recode it to the bike. Searched forums and it seems popular opinion is that you start the bike with the compact key under the rear wheel arch against the antenna, with the remote key out of range. Then with engine running, place the new fob against the "spot" with the BMW button facing the wheel, then press it until the relevant LED on the TFT goes out. Tried this to no avail before and after fitting a new 3V battery. Any suggestions guys before I reluctantly get the stealer to do it ?
